Andrea of Sticky Sweet Diabetics brought up a great topic in her latest post about the lack of visibility of Diabetics in our Community. I feel the same was as she does, especially in the Kansas City community, that with over 320,00 people with Diabetes in the Kansas City area, there is so little heard for those who are affected by Diabetes. So, I figured this was a good opportunity to voice my opinion and concern over the subject with a Vlog post:

Well put!!!! I agree, and i’ll spread the word (and the vlog)!
Great post Chris, and very well said. What this boils down to for us, I believe, is the lack of voice means a lack of research funding. And we all know what a lack of research funding means…

I love the car vlogs. Awesome.
Awareness is key to getting support. I agree that we all need to get out there get the word out.
The problem is that people do not think that diabetes is as a concern as Cancer. They say, “It’s managable” so it is not on there list of priorities.
We have to help them understand that need to stop this epidemic.
